At Jenkintown United Methodist Church (JUMC), we are a vibrant congregation committed to living out the love and teachings of Jesus Christ. Grounded in Wesleyan theology, we emphasize grace, scriptural holiness, and service to others. We’ve made our home in the heart of Jenkintown for the past ____ years. Ministry
We offer a wide range of ministries to nurture, serve, and connect people of all ages. From uplifting Sunday worship and Bible studies to impactful outreach programs, we provide opportunities to grow in faith and love. Our JUMP Preschool offers a nurturing, Christ-centered early education program, fostering children’s development in a safe and joyful environment . Through the Jenkintown Food Cupboard, we address food insecurity in Montgomery County, distributing food to hundreds of families each week with dignity and choice. Whether you’re seeking spiritual growth, a preschool for your child, or ways to serve the community, JUMC welcomes you to be part of our mission to share God’s grace in Jenkintown and beyond.

We believe the Bible is God’s inspired authoritative and trustworthy rule of faith and practice for Christians. Therefore, we submit ourselves to its teaching, commit ourselves to do what it says, and yield our lives to become what Christ desires for us to be.

We believe in the power of prayer. Therefore, the ministries and activities our church will be characterized by a reliance on personal and corporate prayer in all areas of our lives and ministry.

We believe in the Great Commission commanded to us by Jesus Christ and we are committed to reaching unsaved and unchurched people locally, nationally and worldwide. We will use every available Christ-honoring means to pursue, win and disciple the people in our sphere of influence.

We believe God ordained the family to glorify him. We are committed to cultivate an atmosphere which promotes spiritual growth within the family by reaching families with the gospel, discipling them in Christ-like character and teaching each family member how to fulfill their God-given role.

I grew up in Jenkintown a small community where I raised my four children. I also have twelve grandchildren who are the light of my life. My favorite pastime is volunteering at the Jenkintown Food Cupboard and JUMC. I am happy where I am needed.
JUMC is a very welcoming and friendly church so come and see us and we can be friends!

I’ve been attending JUMC since I was a child, so it’s my second home. I had been a preschool teacher for over 30 years and I now currently substitute. I also teach crafts at a farm, but my most favorite job is babysitting my 2 year old granddaughter twice a week. I also love spending time with my 5 year old granddaughter, and I’m looking forward to an arrival of a grandson in Nov.

I am very adventurous. I love going to the gym and anything outside. I am originally from Somerdale NJ by way of Bowman South Carolina. I am a Program Director of 7 programs for a non-profit agency. I am the proud mother of 2 young adults, 26 years old and 21 years old. My favorite sports team is the Dallas Cowboys. My father and grandfather were both pastors as I started singing in church at the age of 3 years old. I accepted the Lord and baptized at the age of 9 years old. I enjoy the diversity, love and acceptance of all people at JUMC.
